The owner of ‘Second Hand Rose’ has died. Before she died she asked Kate to help her with her other business that of assisting ghosts who need help.
In this second book, a ghost is looking for her lost baby. The ghost was told that her baby had died at birth – but she just knows this isn't true. Kate is so upset by the ghost’s plight that she agrees to help her. Kate has no idea of the tragedy that she is about to unravel.

Aside from a few typos and grammatical issues, this was a lovely and poignant story. I do like the idea that there could conceivably be hundreds of ghost stories attached to any thrift or charity shop, even though it rings a little similar to "Friday the 13th, the series". The characters were well built and believable, and little Emily does a great job of both being endearing and moving the plot along when necessary. A little raw editing aside, this was a nice, simple, and sad little ghost story.Product details

I am on my way to reading all of Gillian Larkin's short stories. They are so much fun to read and you don't have to wait for the good ending! This was another series that takes place in another second hand shop, Second Hand Rose.
This novel was much better then the first one of this series. One lost child and one desperate mother - a little bit sad story but with happy ending.
Unlimited, some get that way some freebie sites some her site/email, some have bought other ways

The premise was great, but every story needs a beginning, a middle and an end. This one had a beginning and a very rushed end. Too many loose ends for me. Sorry, didn't care for it.
Rather a quick story, so easily resolved there's no suspense at all. If you want a ten minute bite with no thought at all you might like this.
this was a fun series to read and only takes a couple of hours a book to read. need more
First, let me say that I sincerely admire Gillian Larkin for putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard as the case may be) and crafting a story that was then e-published.
That said, I downloaded this book because it was offered for free and because I like ghost stories. .
When Rose, the owner of Second Hand Rose (a resale shop), dies, she bequeaths the shop to her employees Kate and Carol. Apparently Rose could see ghosts and helped them with any unfinished business so they could cross over. Kate also has the ability to see ghosts. Kate is a single mother with a young daughter and seems like a nice person. Carol, on the other hand, seems to be very unpleasant, bossy, and downright offensive.
I found the writing to be simplistic and basic, lacking in detail and description. Lengthwise, Second Hand Ghosts is more like a short story than a novella. The drama was not accompanied by suspense. Even though this is part of a series, the conclusion gave no hint of what the author is planning for the next book.
