This was such a fun and exciting read! Evie is widowed and is looking to settle down, so while in Scotland for a friend's wedding, the bride to be says she has just the man for her. But when she opens her hotel room door, she is surprised to see Heartbreak Hunter, a notorious ladies man who is always in the tabloids, not exactly husband material. Both Evie and Cameron have strong personalities, issues that need working on, and surprised by the connection. Once at the wedding a twist turns things into a a big mess and confusion all around. Can she figure out who is right for her, and if she chooses one, will he want her? Another well written, fun, and sexy book by Sophia! Another must read to this awesome series!!Product details

Can these two find love despite a meddling grandfather, a jealous ex, and a scheming rival cousin?
I can’t wait for the next installment in the Heart Throb series.
I make a practice of finishing books I start - something that made me fume in this case. The so-called heroine has no redeeming qualities. She's rude, judgmental, and inconstant, switching opinions from one extreme to the other with little thought or provocation. The book starts with her thoroughly insulting her blind date on first meeting, based solely on tabloid fodder. Who believes that junk? Let alone over the opinion of a trusted friend. She's looking for a duplicate of her dead husband and nothing else will do. And she's vocal in her objections, causing one to wonder whether she was raised in a barn with feral cats. What a waste of money.
Sophia Knightly sure knows how tokeep you interested in what will happen to a pair of people you would never think will get together much less stay together. Evie is a widow of l seven years and she is ready to settle down. She goes to her friends wedding in scotland where she is paired with the ladies man Cameron who is always in the tabloids land called Heartbreak Hunter. Can Evie and Cameron find true love despite a grandfater who is quite meddlesome, a scheming rival cousin and an ex girlfriend? In order to find out you will need to read Heart Hunter by Sophia Knioghtly for yourself. You will be glad that you did as it is an excellent book.
I've enjoyed this series by this author and this was another good one. Why only 3 stars? I still don't love the melodrama that she tends to use in her stories. So whilst the main characters are wonderfully drawn and the tension built up beautifully as their relationship develops, the secondary characters seem a little too much.

In this story the H's cousin is trying to get the grandfather to make him his sole heir and to cut the H out. The lengths to which the cousin and the H's evil ex go to was simply not plausible and had me really rolling my eyes. The cousin is a celebrity psychotherapist with a good reputation yet he has a public brawl with the H and calls the H's mother terrible names. The cousin then marries the H's ex in a bid to get the inheritance but once it comes out that the H married first, the cousin tells his wife that he wants an annulment. Horribly tacky and hardly likely.
I'll still read this author and this series and hope that she tones the melodrama down a bit.
Evangeline Parker, a widow, who is also a fashion designer, travels to Scotland for her best friend, Kate's, wedding. Kate is setting her up with a date for the weekend so she will not have to attend the weekend's festivities alone. Evie is shocked to find the UK celebrity playboy, Cameron Hunter, at the door of her hotel room. What on earth was this about? Why would her friend set her up with Cameron, the man-whore who graces all the celebrity rags with his mischief and affairs? What was Kate thinking? Evie refuses to be tabloid fodder like every other woman he dates and she is a bit repulsed...and a whole lot attracted!
Cameron listens to all the reasons she wants nothing to do with him and he decides then and there that he will win her over. After Cameron protects her honor a scandal is started and she is kicked out of her luxury hotel because of the paparazzi. Cameron comes to her rescue and suggests they go on a two-week sight seeing tour so he can show her Scotland in all of its glory.
Will 'Heartbreak Hunter's' reputation, a sneaky grandfather, a rival cousin, and a jealous ex-girlfriend keep them apart.
I loved this book and I highly recommend it. All of the 'Heartthrob' series has been excellent and I am waiting with bated breath for the next one. It is my opinion that you will get the most out of this book if you read the series in order. Keep them coming Sophia!!

But when he is mistaken for Evie's escort for the evening, he is not going to tell her she is mistaken. Something is drawing her to him and he must find out more about her. When a fight caught on camera forces her out of her hotel, she has no choice but to go with him. As she spends more time with him she gets to know the real Cameron and is falling for him fast. Cameron knows he wants her forever, but can he convince her to take a chance on this Heart Hunter.
